Using Zoom for Remote Classes, Participating in a Zoom Session

2020 가을학기를 줌으로 운영기로 결정함에 따라, 수업 참여와 이용방법에 대한 안내말씀드립니다. 수업은 토요일 오전 10시부터 오후 12시까지 두시간, 모든 레벨의 학급에 해당되며, 줌 설치와 이용에 대한 안내는 아래와 같습니다.

The situation for school openings and closings will remain effectively the same, but learning will be all-virtual through the end of the semester this year. The class runs from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for all levels with Zoom. Zoom is a cloud-based video conferencing service you can use to virtually meet with others. Here below is what you need to do and tips for attending a class in Zoom. 01. Download & Set-Up Zoom 줌 다운로드와 설치 : 아래 링크를 타고 페이지로 들어가신 후, 알맞은 앱을 골라 다운로드하신 후 설치해주세요.

Start by going to https://zoom.us/download, and you can easily find and download the app. 02. 이메일로 줌 수업 링크가 포함된 초대장이 발송되오니, 학교 운영상황과 수업참여는 이메일 확인을 통해 부탁드립니다.

To join your remote live class, check your email every week for the invitation from McLean Korean Academy. You can find the Zoom meeting link provided by us. 03. 원활한 수업을 위해, 조용한 공간에서 학생이 방해받지않고 공부에 집중 할 수 있도록 도와주세요.

Choose an appropriate quiet space to join the class where you will not be disturbed. 04. 스피커와 마이크가 문제없이 작동되는지 꼭 테스트해주세요. 수업 중, 질문이나 대화가 없는 순간은 음소거로 참여해주세요. 스피커가 민감하여 주위 소리가 전체 그룹에게 같이 들리므로 이 부분 신경써주시길 부탁드립니다.

Mics: Remind that as a participant, please keep mics on mute unless you are speaking to the class. Test your setup beforehand.

연두색 박스로 표시된 마이크 모양의 아이콘을 클릭하거나 선택하시면 붉게 변하고, 음소거 모드가 됩니다. 다시 선택하여 하얀색 선으로 돌아올 때는 마이크가 켜져있다는 뜻 입니다.

Click or tap the microphone icon. You'll see this in the bottom left corner of your screen. When the icon is red and has a line through it, your microphone is muted.

Click or tap the microphone icon again. If the previous action muted your microphone, this action mutes it. You can also see the section on using the Push to Talk feature to temporarily unmute yourself.

05. How to use Zoom’s features

This above is a screenshot of the controls at the bottom of your screen. + Mute / Unmute: mute yourself to avoid interference. You can communicate via the chat, as well. + Start Video / Stop Video: If you are having connection problems, turn the webcam off. Otherwise, we highly recommend to turn on and use the camera to see each other. + Participants: you can see a list of participants. + Share screen (not available in all browsers): Your instructor will use this function to run the class as a visual-aid. + Chat: this is the way to communicate in large meetings. You can send a message to everyone or to specific people. + Record (not available in browsers): is not available for participants. The host might record the session. + Reactions (not available in browsers): quick way of giving feedback with emoticons. + Leave meeting: you can leave the meeting.
