How do students use Zoom?

학생 1인당 1대의 기기가 필요합니다. 2명의 학생이 1대의 컴퓨터로 수업에 참여하면, 1개의 클래스에 둘이서 함께 참여하는 것이 됩니다. 이경우는 오디오 컨트롤이 어렵기 때문에 추천 드리는 방법이 아닙니다. 원활한 수업 진행을 위해, 1명의 학생에게 1대의 기기를 제공하고, 조용한 공간이나 각자의 방에가서 문을 닫고 수업에 임할 수 있도록 도와주세요.

수업 진행 방법

맥클린 한국학교는 줌의 "방 나누기" 기능을 사용하여 분반합니다. 따라서 전체 학생들에게 제공되는 초대장과 링크는 단 하나로, 모두가 같은 링크를 받게됩니다. 한 가정에 여러 자녀들이 각자 다른 반에 배정되었다고 해도 학교에서 제공되는 초대장과 링크는 단 1개 뿐입니다. 이 점 착오없으시길 바라며, 원활한 수업 진행을 위해 늦지않게 줌 입장을 해주시면 됩니다.

We are using Zoom’s breakout rooms functionality to have students get into their classes. We do not offer separated multiple links, there is only one invitation will be given to entire students and teachers with one link. Breakout rooms are sessions that are split off from the main Zoom meeting. They allow the participants to meet in classes, and are completely isolated in terms of audio and video from the main session.

줌 계정이 없어도 들어오시는데 아무 문제가 없습니다. 미팅룸 비밀번호도 없습니다.

우리 맥클린 한국학교의 온라인 수업은 줌 가입을 요구하지않습니다. 줌 가입이 되어있지않더라도, 초대장에 포함된 링크만 클릭하시면 아이디와 비밀번호 입력없이 입장 가능합니다.

You don't need a Zoom account to join a meeting. Any student can join a class meeting as long as they received an invitation from the school. An invite sent to you via email or message includes a Room link, which serves as a code to bypass any normally-required Zoom login. Even no passcode for entering the room.

학생 이름으로 바꾸어 주세요.

반드시 해주셔야 하는 부분입니다. 수업을 위해 줌에 들어오시면 자녀분의 이름을 학교측에서 정확히 알아볼 수 있도록 바꾸어주세요. 학부모님 이름으로 들어오시면, 분반이 어렵습니다. 반드시 학생의 이름을 입학원서에 기재해주신대로 써주시길 부탁드립니다. 이름 양식은 아래와 같이 바꾸어 주세요.

아직 어느반에 속해있는 모르신다면, 이름만 정확하게 기재해주시고, 처음에는 반 이름을 쓰지않으셔도 괜찮습니다. 소속된 반을 확인하시게되면, 바로 반 이름을 입력해주시면 됩니다.

Changing Your Display Name in Zoom Rooms

When your child comes into the Zoom, please change the display name to your child's name, so we can recognize who is who. In that way, we can send them out to their classes properly. This below is the form for you to change the display name.

If you cannnot type in Korean, it is fine to go by English.

Kim, edward / Rabbit

Rabbit is a name of class. If you do not know what class you are assigned yet, it is fine to leave it blank, until you figure out. But make sure to type the correct name. We need student's name, not parent's name for having classes.

If it’s your first time using Zoom, visit the Educating Guide: Getting Started on Zoom and complete the steps in advance of your class to get you set up. - Preparing for a Zoom Meeting

• Find a quiet space with strong WiFi that is free of distractions.

• Open Zoom via given link. You can find the link in the invitation sent from the school. Remember that there is only one link, even if you have more than two children who are assigned in all different classes.

• To test your microphone, click "Test Computer Mic & Speakers" in the pop-up window that appears when first opening a test meeting or beginning your scheduled meeting. More information on audio testing can be found here.

• To test your camera, just look at the Zoom window to see that you are clearly visible, non-pixellated, and can move and speak without noticeable delays. Click here for more video testing tips.

* You may need to give Zoom permission to access your camera and microphone beforehand. Typically, the request for permission will appear in a pop-up window the first time you open a Zoom Meeting, and will carry over to future meetings. If you declined permissions in the past, you will need to go into your PC or Mac's settings to allow Zoom to access your camera and microphone. * Close any windows or programs open on your device that are unrelated to your meeting. This focuses your device's power to provide the best Zoom meeting experience possible, and prevents potential embarrassing moments if you happen to share your screen.
