2121 가을학기 개강

반갑습니다. 이렿게 어려운 시기임에도 불구하고 맥클린 한국학교를 믿고 자녀들을 보내 주신 학부모님과 우리 학생들 깊은 감사 드리며, 환영합니다. 우리는 물과 공기가 항상 우리 곁에 있기 때문에 그 고마움을 잊고 살 때가 많습니다. 하지만 사막이나 고산지대에 가게 되면 물과 공기가 얼마나 소중한 것인지 새삼 깨닫게 됩니다. 지난 해 3월 코로나로 일상이 정지된 이후 계속 온라인으로 수업하다가 이제 이렇게 얼굴을 뵙게 되니 우리가 얼굴을 맞대고 만나는 것이 얼마나 귀하다는 것을 깨닫게 되었습니다. 정말 눈물이 날 정도로 반갑습니다.

그동안 익숙하지 않은 온라인 수업을 위해 수고해 주신 선생님들과 가정에서 자녀들의 한글교육의 보조선생님 역할을 하신 부모님께 이 시간을 빌려 감사드립니다. 이번 가을학기 대면 수업에는 정부의 권고와 지침에 맞추어 안전수칙을 지키면서, 코로나의 변이 바이러스가 전파되지 않도록 최선을 다해 노력하겠습니다. 들어오실 때 체온측정을 하고 수업중 항상 마스크를 착용하며 학생과 선생님과의 사이에 충분히 거리를 두고 수업을 할 것입니다. 아울러 학교는 학생들이 불편하거나 스트레스를 받지 않도록 최대한 노력할 것을 약속드립니다. 성공적인 2021년 가을학기의 운영을 위한 모두의 참여가 필요합니다. 협조를 부탁드립니다. 감사합니다.

우리 맥클린한국학교 선생님들께서도 이번 여름기간 동안 교사연수회와 교사 학술대회로 닦은 경험과 확고한 신념으로 가을 학기는 더욱 알차고 지혜롭게 도전해 나갈 것입니다. 지난 번에도 말씀 드렸지만, "학생+선생+학부모님=함께" 라면, 반드시 성공적인 아름다운 결실이 맺어지리라 믿습니다. 다시 한번 학생들, 학부모님. 선생님! 그리고 이번 가을학기 대면 수업을위해 수고하여 주신 모든분 들께 감사드립니다.

Nice to meet you. I would like to express my sincere thanks and welcome to the parents who trusted and sent children to MacLean Korean School in spite of these difficult times. We often forget to be grateful to water and air because they are always with us. However, when we go to a desert or alpine area, we realize how precious water and air are. It has already been a year and a half since we were unable to meet face-to-face due to Covid-19. This has really made us realize how precious it is for us to meet face-to-face. Since daily life was suspended in March last year due to the coronavirus, we ran classes online and now I am so happy to see you face to face.

I am very grateful to the teachers who worked hard in unfamiliar online classes and the parents who served as assistant teachers for their children's Korean language education at home. In the face-to-face classes this fall semester, we will do our best to prevent the spread of the virus by keeping safety rules in line with the government's recommendations and guidelines. We will take your temperature when entering the classroom, require you to wear a mask at all times during class, and keep a sufficient distance between students and teachers. The school also promises to make every effort to ensure that students are not uncomfortable or stressed. Everyone's participation is required for the successful operation of the Fall 2021 semester.

Our teachers at Maclean Korean School will take on challenges in the fall semester more fruitfully and wisely with the experience and knowledge they have cultivated through teacher training sessions and teacher conferences this summer. As I said last time, students + teachers + parents= successful results by working together. Thank you to everyone who worked hard to make this fall semester face-to-face.
